What to bring to shoot: Props

Things to bring to shoots: Clothes, props, ID (if you are doing a girl-girl shoot there are a few additional things to consider).

We divide props into four main areas: General, Personal, Sexual, and Sentimental. We need you to bring some of each to your shoot day.

General Props

General props are “tools” you use or do stuff in real life. Some examples include;

Sporting implements ย โšพย ๐Ÿคนโ€โ™€๏ธย ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ‘ย ๐Ÿ ย โšฝย ๐ŸŽณย ๐ŸŽพย ๐Ÿย ๐Ÿˆย ๐Ÿ“ ๐Ÿ‰ (and sporting uniforms ๐Ÿฅ‹), exercise equipment ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ, tools for your occupation โš“ย ๐Ÿงฎ โš—๏ธ ๐Ÿฉบ ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ, equipment for your hobby ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธย ๐ŸŽช ๐Ÿ”ฆ ๐ŸŽฑย ๐ŸŽฒย ๐ŸŽจย ๐ŸŽคย ย ๐Ÿฅย ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿงถ

We’ll ask you to bring several of these.

Personal Props

Personal props are things you have on, in or with you all the time. Some examples include;

Jewelry ๐Ÿ“ฟ ๐Ÿ’, mobile phone๐Ÿ“ฑ, headphones ๐ŸŽง. Lip balm, medication ๐Ÿ’Š, moisturiser ๐Ÿงด, tampons ๐Ÿฉธ, your diary ๐Ÿ““, seeing-glasses ๐Ÿ‘“, bus tickets ๐ŸŽซ, wristwatch โŒš, pen ๐Ÿ–Š๏ธ, sewing kit ๐Ÿงต, keys ๐Ÿ”‘, purse ๐Ÿ‘›๐Ÿ‘ , candy ๐Ÿฌ, first aid stuff ๐Ÿฉน ๐Ÿงท, toothbrush ๐Ÿชฅ.

You might already have a bunch of these with you, but more is always better. We’ll incorporate their casual use in the shoot.

“I brought all of my own props and had things ready to talk about. I chose my own outfit and chose some posters and things from what Elvaar [Shoot Producer] brought to decorate. I tried to choose things that looked like something I would actually have in my room.” (Olive G, Jun 2020)

“We ended up using a lot of objects instead of themed ideasโ€ฆ We started with my favorite-ever folding pocket hair brush/mirror that I always have with me. I always have it in every bag, every pocketโ€ฆ Stuff like that! My comfort items. A lot of the shoot was about having my comfort items with me and that was really special. Oh! and the silk fans! My silk fans! In the end, we used my silk fans and I honestly feel like this is the peak of my career! It was so cool, you have to watch it.” (Lucy Q, Apr 2022)

Sexual props

If you’re making a Solo shoot at the “Explicit or “Insertions” Posing Level (more info), we’re going to talk about masturbation. We want you to share the things you use to masturbate. Some examples include;

Classic sex toys ๐Ÿ† are always good – vibes and dildos are classic for a reason ๐Ÿ˜…! Your newest and oldest ones are always great, even if they are broken!

But maybe you use other things to masturbate with as well? No matter how “unusual”, we’d like you to bring it.

Please bring these with you.

Sentimental props

โ€‹What would you save if the house was on fire? Items that mean something to you are great to share on camera (if you feel comfortable) to help us learn about you as a person (not in a sexual way!). Some examples include;

Musical instruments ๐ŸŽบย ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽท๐ŸŽป, medals ๐Ÿฅˆ, trophies ๐Ÿ†, awards ๐Ÿต๏ธ, family heirlooms ๐Ÿด, things you have made ๐Ÿช€ ๐Ÿ—ฟ, the collar from your childhood dog ๐Ÿ•, love notes ๐Ÿ’Œ…

“I was really excited because the bra I was wearing I knit by myself! I was very excited to wear that! I was very happy he [Shoot Producer Hermann] decided on that. I also suggested some of the poses! I felt very creative and I think he was thankful that I had some ideas of my own.” (Anabelle, Feb 2020)

If you have items like this, let your Shoot Producer know, so they can discuss what’s suitable to bring on the shoot day. Larger musical instruments are great, let us know in advance and we can pay for any excess baggage.
