We’re always looking for new models, and our main source of new models are our existing models referring their friends.
We pay you between €100 and €300 for each new model you refer to us that we shoot.
We have a site especially for people who refer us models, with a lot more information.
Who we’re seeking
People we accept must:
- Be female (as in, assigned female at birth);
- Be attractive and feminine;
- Speak English well;
- Be height-weight proportionate;
- Be genuinely enthusiastic about our project;
- Not have breast implants.
The above are “hard” requirements. If candidates do not meet on them, we cannot work with them.
However, some of our preferences are subjective (meaning, opinions differ), and we tend to be pretty flexible. For example, we’re not only seeking people with an “ideal” dress size – a bit over or under is fine. How much precisely depends on several factors, but you should encourage candidates to apply so we can discuss it with them.
We prefer people we work with:
- Be 18 to 25 years old;
- Have no, or minimal tattoos;
- Have removable piercings;
- Have full pubic hair;
- Have underarm hair;
- Have no previous experience adult modelling.
We often make exceptions, so if you know someone who seems like they’d be “close”, send them along.
How to refer someone
It’s best to have a conversation with the person you’re considering to be suitable – of course, we only work with people who want to work with us. Talk about how it was for you (your opinion will carry a lot of weight), what you enjoyed, and who you worked with.
Never submit an application for someone else – it’s important they do it – but it’s fine to push them along a bit!
If you’re not sure if the person will be down with the idea, consider a more gentle approach to break the ice, for example, asking if they have ever considered modelling.
If the person expresses interest, direct them to modelfor.abbywinters.com, where they can learn more and apply.
Referral fees
After we gather more information from a modelling candidate, we assess her for suitability on a 1-to-5 scale (based on our description of “Models we’re seeking” above):
- We will not shoot this model – she’s not right for our site
- We are very unlikely to ever shoot this model, but we may. If we do, €100 referral fee is due.
- We want to shoot this model (€100 referral fee)
- We really want to shoot this model (€200 referral fee)
- This model is exactly what we’re seeking (€300 referral fee)
From time to time, we have bonus periods for referrals, where our fees are doubled (for example, referring a model who’s 4-assessed would make for a €400 referral fee). We’ll notify you about these in our monthly Model Newsletter.
How and when do I get paid?
When a modelling candidate applies, we ask questions about how they found us, and make sure we get a name if the candidate was referred to us by someone (as opposed to seeing an ad online for us, for example).
The first time we shoot a new model, we have a special process after their first shoot to get them set up in our systems (for example, to give them an account to access the AW site). Part of that is to review how we found this model, and take action: pay the referral fee.
A few days after the shoot, you’ll be notified to approve a payment we have prepared, and to nominate a bank account for the referral fee to be sent to.
If you think you’ve missed out on a payment, let us know, and we’ll sort it out.
Referral cards
We have a set of engaging cards we can send you, that are useful to give to prospects. They have the modelfor.abbywinters.com address, and a place for you to write your site name. We asked if we could send you some after your first shoot with us, and we would have sent them.
If you need more, let a Model Liaison know and we’ll make that happen.
Scale it up
If you’re able to refer a few models each month, you should register for Guild, our model scouting and tracking app. In it, you get updates on the status of models you have referred, so you can see how close you are to earning a referral fee. Learn more at https://scout.abbywinters.com/.
