Model feedback rationale

We ask for feedback from models on several occasions, in several ways – some structured and unstructured.

We’re a “distributed” company: we no longer have a central office (we did for 17 years), all our staff and contractors are spread all over the world, working together online. It works pretty well, but it can mean that sometimes small things can be missed, especially when our models are also spread all over the world. Perhaps one of the most important things is an opinion of a model on how her experience was with us.

If we did not ask them, and they did not proactively offer it, she may have had a bad experience and we’d never know. We’re not comfortable with that.

Our feedback policy

We welcome feedback from Applicants, Candidates and Models we work with.

Most feedback is read by the Owner of the company, and models are always welcome to message the owner directly on garion.hall@abbywinters.com. The Owner will always respond (but, be sure to check your Spam box for their response).

We consider and discuss all feedback we receive from models.

We use feedback from models to improve our business processes. At least once a month, our processes are revised due to feedback from models.

We respond to models who provide meaningful, actionable feedback (that is, we usually don’t respond to feedback like “You suck!”, though thankfully it’s rare we get feedback like that!).

Feedback requests

We make the following requests of feedback from models.

General, non-specific, unstructured

At many points in the life cycle of a model applying to work with us to the last shoot they make with us, we invite the model to let us know about feedback they have. For example, most emails we send include a reminder to ask questions or offer feedback.

Post-shoot survey

After each shoot, each model is asked to complete a five-minute survey about their experience on that shoot. Even models who do many shoots with us, we ask for an assessment of their experience.

This survey is online, works on mobile devices, and takes no longer than five minutes to complete.

First shoot check-in call

The first time a model makes a shoot with us is an important milestone, and where we can learn the most about how to improve. This call usually lasts for 15 minutes, and we ask questions to learn about the model’s experience with us.
