When COVID-19 became widespread in early March, abbywinters.com model Tallulah decided she wanted to do something to help those that were struggling.
Starting on 17 March 2020 she ran a fundraising campaign to donate 50% of her Playdate earnings to charitable causes and those in need.
Tallulah says,
I started off by making a few one-off donations to friends in need of financial assistance during the first month of lockdown in the UK. After that, I made donations to “Crisis”, a UK charity which helps homeless people. In total, I donated £951.23. I’d like to thank everyone who contributed in a big or small way, including abbywinters.com for booking me for Public Playdates.
While the special Covid-19 fundraising campaign has ended, Tallulah says she will continue to donate to causes that are important to her, and encourages other models to share what they can afford to as well.
