Model Tallulah gives generously

When COVID-19 became widespread in early March, abbywinters.com model Tallulah decided she wanted to do something to help those that were struggling.

Starting on 17 March 2020 she  ran a fundraising campaign to donate 50% of her Playdate earnings to charitable causes and those in need.

Tallulah says,

I started off by making a few one-off donations to friends in need of financial assistance during the first month of lockdown in the UK. After that, I made donations to “Crisis”, a UK charity which helps homeless people. In total, I donated ÂŁ951.23. I’d like to thank everyone who contributed in a big or small way, including abbywinters.com for booking me for Public Playdates.

While the special Covid-19 fundraising campaign has ended, Tallulah says she will continue to donate to causes that are important to her, and encourages other models to share what they can afford to as well.

At a time with so much uncertainty and hardship, we are inspired by Tallulah’s selfless generosity. Here at abbywinters.com, we have matched her giving.

Meet a model: Tallulah!

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

Turquoise! My favourite colour and gemstone. I have such a strong affinity for that colour. Also, if anyone has seen the cartoon Steven Universe, they’ll know about the crystal gems. My ‘gemsona’ is turquoise.

What’s your favorite smell?

I really like good sweat smells. Particularly armpits. I’m picky about it though, not everyone’s scent draws my attention. Maybe it’s pheromones. But weirdly enough I really like my own sweat smell. Like, really like it.

What book(s) have you read twice?

Ooh, good question! I am currently re-reading Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie. It’s the first book in a sci-fi series about AI and space colonialism/empire with some really cool concepts. The skill to be able to build a whole whole universe with words is one that never ceases to amaze me. And her books offer escapism whilst also addressing social and political issues in a thought provoking way.

I have also read many of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld books twice or more, as well as Diana Wynne-Jones’ Chrestomanci series.

Oh, and I keep revisiting Raymond Chandler’s Philip Marlowe novels. Chandler’s prose is just so elegant and fresh, even 80 years later!

What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?

Most beautiful man-made place: the Chora Church in Istanbul. Gold-heavy mosaics and beautiful ornate stonework. It’s not the biggest church, the ceilings are low enough to be able to study the mosaics on them with ease. Some of the bigger churches are just too overwhelming. Chora Church makes you feel in touch with history. I’m not a Christian so maybe the faith-specific emotion is lost on me, but I still felt very strong emotions gazing upwards in that building. My favourite mosaic series is a visual narrative of the life of the Virgin Mary because I had never see Mary’s life depicted before her immaculate conception. I’m interested in the roles that women have played in religion.

Most beautiful nature spot: A secret, private location I can’t tell you about. 😉

Who’s your celebrity crush?

Janelle MonĂĄe! She’s just come out as panssxual too so I admire her even more. She’s one of the most inspiring people on the planet and if I ever met her I would probably be rendered speechless and my glasses would steam up. (This can happen when my face gets all hot!) Her new album has an amazing concept video which incorporates all her music videos into a dystopian sci-fi narrative. I love the afro-futurism themes underpinning her work. I’m really attracted to people with vision and ambition who are also compassionate and strive to make the world a better place. When I see her face or hear her music, my heart flutters.

Meet a Model
 Kayla J!

(this interview was linked in the April 2018 edition of our models newsletter)

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
If I got to be any crayon (in the box with the sharpener, please) I would be that lovely rosey pink wax that is actually a sweet lilac when stroked properly.

What sound do you love?
I love waking up with just a little bit of early morning sun streaming into my bedroom, and the sound of someone mowing the lawn outside. It means that I got to sleep in & that summer is around the corner. When I finally roll out of bed & shuffle outside with my cup of black coffee, the grass will feel so sweet under my toes.

What’s something non-physical about a person that can really be a turn on?
People who go above and beyond to be kind to waiters and bellhops and service workers really excite me. Seeing someone who is gentle towards others, no matter their station in life, really warms my heart.

What unusual physical attribute do you find sexy and why?
I am attracted to sweet, small, shapely NOSES! My own self-consciousness aside, I love a unique sniffer on my lover’s face! 😉

ABOVE: Kayla J, 21, Ballet Dancer, American

What’s your favorite smell?
Speaking of sniffing things, I always delay washing my hands after working with my Father’s garden. I love the way that rosemary and thyme and mint and tomatoes and green beans leave their oils in my skin. I love the softness of the enriched-earth under my otherwise well-kept nails.

What tv show’s intro music stirs up strong feelings or nostalgia and why?
The Full House theme song makes me want to cry because of all of the good, bad, and beautiful memories it stirs up. Because of my brief addiction to the show in late elementary school, there were a lot of tough themes in my life that were addressed by the TV show. Full House guided me through all sorts of crazy life changes!

What book(s) have you read twice and why?
I really loved Still Life with Woodpecker by Tom Robbins. Just about anything written by Tom Robbins requires at least two reads to get the full meaning, though. I also really truly enjoyed Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore. It is hilarious and insightful, and causes readers of all faiths (or no faith) to pause & think.

What’s the best band you’ve ever seen live and what made their performance great?
Hilary Duff is quite the original Pop Star in my eyes. However, the best live music performance I have ever attended was probably the Trans Siberian Orchestra around Christmastime. Not only is their music iconic and legendary and earth-moving, but there were LASERS and canons of FIRE! 10/10 would definitely recommend

What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?
Of all the stamps in my passport, I can’t replace my favorite USA memories. The absolute most gorgeous, amazing, magical, warm, balmy place I have ever been to was a Manatee Rehabilitation Lagoon in Eastern Florida. These “sea cows” are a little funny to look at, but they are the best partners to float on a river with.

What fictional world would you most like to live in?
Unfortunately, all fictional worlds have their fatal flaw. There are always Voldemorts & Darth Vaders & big stormy rain clouds. THE TERROR! Well, that is, except in MY fictional world. You see, Kaylaopolis is a magical place with ethically-produced pink marble architecture for the free community housing. Oh! & the non-hierarchical ruling body always provides two allergen friendly meals a day. My fantasy land is full of positive self-identity and every person and every cat and every bunny is treated like royalty every day. Also, I would win a tiara for reversing global warming & thereby saving the coffee industry.

What is your favorite movie quote?
“Rose gold looks like someone vomited a salmon dinner onto a pair of dirty ballet shoes.” -John Oliver, Last Week Tonight

Who’s your celebrity crush?
When I was in my college film class we had to watch Cool Hand Luke. It was the first time I had ever really developed a “crush” on a celebrity, & the whole class knew it. HOW EMBARRASSING!

Is there a documentary or book that really changed the way you thought about something?
One movie that changed the way I live my day-to-day life was Lola Rennt. As the IMDB oh, so simply puts it, “After a botched money delivery, Lola has 20 minutes to come up with 100,000 Deutschmarks.”

Yes, this entire 80 minute movie takes place inside of the same 20 minutes. Watch it. I know you’ll enjoy.

Have you seen a ghost or an alien?
I started musical theater when I was 7 and it evolved into a career as a choreographer. Let me tell you the biggest thing I learned in all those years… GHOSTS ARE REAL! As a younger person, I spent a decade in a 100-year old theater. It was a beautiful building! But terrifying to explore. Legend has it that when the theater was new, they did a production of Romeo and Juliet. There was a bout of jealously & a fit of rage from an understudy, that led to the original Romeo being locked in the boiler room below the stage & burned to death. YIKES!

Years after hearing this story, believing it, and dismissing it… I am now a believer. During one of my last musical performances in this beautiful Spanish-inspired building, the ghost made himself present me. Perhaps he knew that I was old enough to accept his existence without fear.

What’s one thing that you hesitated to try during sex but ended up loving?
SEX! I hesitated to try sex because of all taboo and rumors that come along with it. Not to mention the lack of proper education on the subject! When I finally felt ready to try it with someone I was comfortable knowing, I absolutely fell in-love with the pass-time! After about a year of trying the traditional things, I gave anal sex a try & it was so easy for me! These days, it is usually just a matter of what position is most comfortable for my partner to access me. We have anal and vaginal sex about equally (:

12 months later…with Irene A

We asked our model Irene A a few questions about how she felt 12 months after her first shoot with us.

Where was your first shoot made?

Barcelona (Spain)

How do you feel now about the first shoot you have made with us?

It’s still one of my most erotic, bold shoots and I hold it dear. It merges my sensuality with my passion for videogames and let me discover my own, personal beauty and made me celebrate my erotism and personality.

What were you worried about before your first shoot?

I was afraid that people in the community did not like me, because I’m not the kind of woman who is featured on magazines. However, I’ve found a very body positive community in Abby Winters, and people are so kind to me and received my pics and videos with lots of love.

How did you find working with your Shoot Producer?

Ursula and I had some great connection and she directed me perfectly throughout the full session. She took care about my well-being in every moment, assessed me in choosing my best clothes and was very creative to picturing images involving my passion for videogames with. She also knows how to portray erotism in a happy, empowering way.

How supportive were your friends when you told them?

They were surprised and happy to know there’s an erotic website which is so supportive with body positive models and which enhances a good environment between users and models. And they were happy for me, because I get to pose for such beautiful pics.

Meet a Model
 Madelaine!

ABOVE: Madelaine says, “I love all of my solo photos … this one is adorable”

What’s something non-physical about a person that can really be a turn on?

I absolutely love a good laugh. A cute giggle can make someone so much cuter, and not to mention an out of control loud laugh is just so contagious! Goes with having a great sense of humour in a way, as I always find a joke funnier when the person telling it can’t help laugh at it too. I love hearing someone laugh while having sex, as there will always be an awkward fumbling moment with clothes or angles which makes it all the more fun!

What unusual physical attribute do you find sexy and why?

Arms. There is something about guys forearms (particularly if they are veiny) that really does it for me. Though from talking to friends it seems it’s less unusual than I thought!

What’s your favorite smell?

Comfort Pure fabric softener. I go the extra frivolous mile to make sure I always have it on my shopping list! My grandparents have used the same fabric softener since I was a baby, so the smell reminds me of walking into their house and getting a waft from the laundry room which is right by the front door. I remember one time when I was younger I intentionally tipped dinner on myself so my clothes had to be washed and I could go home smelling amazing!

Who’s your celebrity crush?

Emma Stone! I think celebrity crushes are always intensified when you realise they are actually a genuinely cool person, plus who doesn’t love that smile?

What’s one thing that you hesitated to try during sex but ended up loving?
Being watched. I had always thought being in a room with other people would ruin the intimacy of sex, but if anything it just intensifies it for me. I always knew I was an exhibitionist but it wasn’t until the first sex party I went to in London (Which I was super nervous for) that I realised just how awesome it is! I had been putting off trying it for years but it’s now top of my favourite sexual activities list.
